Euclid Space Telescope
The Euclid Space Telescope is a space-based observatory launched in July 2023 with the goal of exploring the composition and evolution of the dark Universe.
Overview
The Euclid Space Telescope was launched in July 2023 with the goal of exploring the composition and evolution of the dark Universe. Its mission is to better understand dark matter and dark energy by mapping the large-scale structure of the Universe.
Euclid will observe billions of galaxies, reaching distances of up to 10 billion light-years, and covering more than one-third of the sky. Through this extensive survey, it will provide unprecedented insights into how the Universe has evolved.
Pipeline development
Improvement of the pipeline responsible for processing galaxy spectra. This involved enhancing the reliability and efficiency of how spectral data is handled, ensuring that large volumes of observational data can be processed accurately.
Development of unit tests to improve the robustness of the pipeline. These tests help ensure that changes to the system do not introduce errors and that scientific results remain consistent.
